Workshop: "Economic Inequality and the Quality of Democracy," Feb. 7-8, 2014

How has rising economic inequality affected the distribution of political influence in advanced industrialized democracies? To what extent have advanced democracies seen the rise of "winner-take-all politics" dominated by the rich, or the political exclusion of low-income citizens? Leading scholars of comparative political economy gather at UBC's Institute for European Studies to present and discuss their latest research on this topic.
