How has rising economic inequality affected the distribution of political influence in advanced industrialized democracies? To what extent have advanced democracies seen the rise of "winner-take-all politics" dominated by the rich, or the political exclusion of low-income citizens? Leading scholars of comparative political economy gather at UBC's Institute for European Studies to present and discuss their latest research on this topic. The Institute for European Studies would like to welcome Dr. Thomas Biebricher, who is the IES's DAAD (The German Academic Exchange Service) Visiting Assistant Professor for 2014! Dr. Biebricher will be teaching a course on European Integration, and will be helping with coordinating the European Study Tour and Internship Program for the local chapter at UBC.
