Marko completed an undergraduate degree in Political Science at UBC and has recenlty completed the Master of Arts degree in European Studies. He worked as a research assistant and webmaster for the Institute for European Studies and part-time for the federal government. Prior to that, Marko was employed as a research assistant with the Human Security Centre and, in 2004/2005 and interned for a local human rights NGO in Serbia, under the Foreign Affairs Young Professional Program. His interests are in the areas of human security, European governance and foreign and security policy. His other “amateur” interest is in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), and their use in information management, analysis, and communication and collaboration, as well as their role in decision-making support, international development, and society overall. Marko has traveled and lived in Europe, is fluent in Croatian (plus Serbian and Bosnian) and speaks basic French. Marko is currently in Europe.
